Arsenal: Ruled out- Van Persie

LONDON - Robin van Persie will end his career with the Dutch Arsenal.Penyerang said he would not continue its contract with the Gunners squad, which will end in the summer of 2013.
"Personally, I went through a great season with Arsenal but my dream is to win trophies with the team and help the club achieve success.
"I've been thinking about that but I decided to discontinue my contract," said van Persie.
Van Persie to blow up 37 goals in all competitions for Arsenal last season, said he has talked about his future co-chief executive, Ivan Gazidis and manager, Arsène Wenger before Euro 2012.

For the record, Arsenal have not won any title since won the FA Cup trophy in 2005 and failed to clinch the Premier League title since 2004.
"To respect the manager (Wenger), players and supporters, I would not give details on this matter.
"However, meeting with Wenger Gazidis and then giving a clear picture to me. We failed to reach agreement on many issues," said 28-year-old striker.
Van Persie said that several meetings will be held with Arsenal after returning from vacation Gazidis in the United States (U.S.).
Some of the best European clubs have expressed interest to sign van Persie, including Premier League, Manchester City and a champion of Serie A, Juventus.

Van Persie is playing a major role for Arsenal last season, leading scorer with 30 league goals to help the Gunners squad qualified for the Champions League campaign.
However, he failed to repeat that performance on the international stage after only scoring one goal for the Netherlands at Euro 2012.
To accommodate the loss of van Persie, Wenger has signed striker Montpellier, Olivier Giroud and Lukas Podolski from Cologne since the end of last season.
Wenger needs to take advantage of the summer transfer window next month to sell the captain and the world-class striker or face the risk of loss without the money when his contract expired the end of next season.

However, this scenario is no stranger to Wenger.
This is because, Arsenal lost some of the main pillars of the past few years, including Cesc Fàbregas who moved to Barcelona and Emmanuel Adebayor, Kolo Touré, Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy who joined the City. - Agency

Job done. Barça duly got through their last 16 tie against Osasuna with a comfortable win in Pamplona.

Guardiola's men had to come back from a goal down in the second half after Leka had put the hosts ahead before the break, but Alexis and Sergi Roberto did the job and Barça will now face Real Madrid in the first leg of the quarter finals next week  - the first classico of 2012, after seven meetings in 2011.

That first leg is at the Bernabeu next Wednesday, with the return a week later at the Camp Nou, also at 22.00.

STill in Track-Barca looks up the KING

 Hunger ...Hunger
2012 has started and FC Barcelona are still hungry. Up against a brave Osasuna side in the first leg of the last 16 of the Spanish Cup, Guardiola's team won comfortably, 4-0, at the Camp Nou.

The match was pretty much decided in the first 20 minutes, in which Cesc scored the first two goals of the year for Barça. Then, in the second half, Messi rounded off the win with a header and a shot into the corner of the net, both goals unstoppable.

Messi comes on ... and scores twice
In the second half the FC Barcelona monologue continued. Messi, who recovered just in time from a bout of flu, came on and truly lifted the Camp Nou. The team, influenced by the atmosphere, responded with a flurry of football like only they can play. Chances came, one after another, in Riesgo's area, but he managed to avoid conceding a third until Messi said enough is enough, with a header in the 72nd minute.
